I first saw the concept of 101 in 1001 on a page I view frequently called The Simple Dollar.
Guidelines for 101 in 1001:
The Mission: Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.
The Criteria: Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part).
Why 1001 Days? Many people have created lists in the past — frequently simple goals such as new year’s resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organizing and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.
I’m tired just reading the list!
Good Luck, Tyler.
It is a great idea.

Hey Tyler;
Interesting list, to say the least! I’m impressed. I’ve got my own list, but it’s not nearly as comprehensive as yours!
Listen, to further your meditation “training”, I have a couple of “Guided Mindfulness Meditation” CDs I produced a few years back you can have. I was the Executive Producer for them, and I even use them regularly to manage stress (especially these days), and simply just to relax when I need to.
Let me know if you’re interested in having them, and I’ll get them sent over to you!
cheers, Andrew
